MY VIDEOGRAPHY STYLE

As a wedding videographer, I love film, cinematography, the art of filmmaking, and anything movie-related. The compositions of shots, those frames, and angles blend to make a scene come to life. It’s the inspiration that we use for every wedding film we create. I love utilising natural light and shadows to create cinematic films full of emotion.

We always want to film your full wedding day. This allows us to tell the story of your wedding from beginning to end. Starting with your preparations, we continue right through to the evening festivities until we are sure we have everything we need. We love capturing those special and unseen moments and the key elements of your wedding which together tell the story of your day in a short cinematic experience.

Your wedding highlight film will be between 4 and 8 minutes and is individually created to tell the story of your wedding day. Available to download as many times as you want in 12 months you can share it with family and friends and online.
Please note we do not create traditional long wedding films.

I also know that one size does not fit all when it comes to your wedding, so that’s why I offer a range of optional extras so you can really make your wedding collection your own. From speed edits and options to purchase the full ceremony and/or speeches

Our full-day wedding collections for film start from £1895 each, with elopements and bespoke collections available.

It’s important for us to meet in person at our studio or via video link. I would love to discover your plans and what you value, so I can guarantee that you have exactly what you need for your wedding day.

It’s so important to me that my couples are happy and confident with their choice in asking me to document their wedding. As such, I do not take every wedding I’m approached to capture. I prefer to work with couples who share my brand values and who ultimately are confident we are a good match.

Asked Questions

A professional wedding videographer should always carry both full public liability and professional indemnity insurance. If your venue requires proof of this, we are happy to provide this to them.

All our wedding films come with a non-commercial music license. Should you want your favourite song or the one you use for your first dance this can be provided, however, there will be an additional cost due to the licensing and copyright of the commercial track.

We will show the specific contractual payment dates on your invoice, but because we offer our clients live invoicing, you can essentially make payments on a basis that suits you, as long as you meet the key contractual payment dates below, which are:

25% of the total booking as a non-refundable retainer fee (commonly referred to as the deposit). This is due at the time of booking in order to reserve your wedding date. This also covers our initial administrative costs.

25% of the total booking no later than 3 months before the wedding.

Final balance payment is due 4 weeks before your wedding date.

From Land’s End to John O’Gaunt. No area of the UK is out of our reach. We regularly film weddings across the UK and further afield as destination wedding videographers. From the busy streets of Kensington, London, the remote Scottish Highlands to anywhere in the world.

A personal use licence also gives you the right to share your film on social media and online with friends and family.

This is not a licence for any commercial usage.

If your wedding is within a 50-mile radius of our studio in Lancaster, UK, no further travel or accommodation charges will be added.  Should your wedding day be further afield, there may be additional costs. However, this will be agreed in advance where possible.

We are not wedding planners. However, once you become a Jono Symonds client, we are there every step of the way to assist you if we can with your wedding day plans. From helping you with the timeline of your day to sharing ideas, recommending suppliers and other industry contacts.

You’re right to ask. Many videographers will not record your audio and only use music for your wedding film, so it is always worth checking.

Audio is really the key to telling the story of your wedding day through your film. We will record as much audio as possible throughout your wedding day. We use small non-obtrusive Sony microphones that capture everything from speeches to vows, allowing us to use this as the narrative for your wedding film.

We do. You will hire us for our expertise and with 10+ years of experience and many more in the music industry, we know how to create the best film. We only choose the very best footage and audio that together combines to tell the true beauty of your day.

I currently film with professional Canon Cameras and use Sony microphones. These are the latest professional camera bodies and unlike many standard cameras shoot to two memory cards minimising any potential risk. We also have 2 back up cameras on standby should anything happen.

Gone are the days of the 3-hour wedding movie marathon. Step forward the wedding highlights film. A short 4-6 minute film, perfectly telling your wedding day story in a succinct manageable amount of time.

From your wedding day, it should be approximately 10-12 weeks for full delivery of your wedding film as stated in the contract.

For those of you looking to customise your experience, we offer shorter delivery times for an additional cost should you require them.

No, you will not get access to the raw files. We film hours of footage in short snippets, which we then use to create your highlight film. The files are in a format the average person could not view as you require specialist industry software. Imagine ordering a wedding cake and only getting the ingredients. You’re hiring us to provide the final film.

If all goes well and you opt to move forward with me, we’ll send you over the relevant paperwork, and once signed, you’ve booked us for your date.
