Levi & Matthew’s Middleton Lodge Estate WEDDING

Nestled between the breathtaking landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors National Park, Middleton Lodge Estate provided a picturesque canvas for Levi and Matthew’s sophisticated wedding, which I had the immense pleasure of photographing. The couple’s choice of whites, greens, and soft pastel florals set a tone of elegant simplicity that complemented the venue’s natural beauty.

The day began in the Tack Room, where Levi, accompanied by her bridesmaids, the mothers of both the bride and groom, indulged in a morning of hair and makeup. Her son Theodore joined them and I loved his adorable reaction in his mini tuxedo that matched that of ‘the boys’. The air buzzed with excitement, reflecting the joy and anticipation of the hours ahead. Transitioning to the Bridal Suite in the Head Gardener’s Cottage, Levi donned her stunning white wedding dress. The intimate moments shared there, especially the first look with her nearest and dearest, were heartwarming to photograph.

Despite hopes for an outdoor ceremony in the Walled Gardens, the day’s plans moved to the Boiler Bar, a decision that added an unexpected charm to their nuptials. Levi’s walk down the aisle, led by Theodore, was a poignant moment, encapsulating the family’s close bond. The olive green bridesmaids’ dresses against the backdrop of rich greenery and white floral arrangements created a visually captivating scene, one that was a delight to capture through my lens. 

The reception in the Fig House was a highlight, with singing waiters surprising guests during the wedding breakfast. The energy was infectious, with everyone on their feet, some even dancing on chairs—a testament to the joyful spirit that Levi and Matthew envisioned for their day. My aim was to encapsulate these lively moments, ensuring the couple could relive the joy through my photographs. 

As the evening unfolded, the vibrant atmosphere continued, enhanced by a DJ and a saxophonist that kept the party alive. The combination of elegance, love, and laughter that defined Levi and Matthew’s wedding was every wedding photographer’s dream.
