A Magical Wedding at Blencowe Manor

Blencowe Hall, nestled in the picturesque Eden Valley, served as an extraordinary setting for Rebecca and Paul’s destination wedding. Far from your typical manor house, this Grade I listed fortified tower is famous for its dramatic “giant gash”—a massive breach in the stone walls dating back to the English Civil War, now seamlessly enclosed with modern glazing to create a breathtaking architectural marvel.

Rebecca and Paul travelled all the way from LA to exchange vows within these historic walls, which have undergone a transformation from a 14th-century ruin into a multi-award-winning luxury retreat. It provided the perfect, sophisticated backdrop for an international celebration where old-world Cumbria met modern California style.

It was an intimate gathering filled with immense energy and love; this day was more than just a wedding, it was a heartfelt celebration of their deep connection. The beautiful merging of families felt destined, with the warmest welcome extended to all guests, including myself. An abundance of laughter and joy filled this stunning Cumbrian wedding venue.
