The North West is full of locations which makes the perfect backdrop for your pre-wedding engagement shoot. Full of woodland locations, Lake District mountains, and coastal retreats. For Matthew & Adrian, they chose the small coastal village of Silverdale, away from the hustle and bustle of their lives in Manchester City Centre.

This was an amazing engagement shoot. Adrian was an old work colleague of mine and they got in contact and told me of their Christmas wedding plans. I jumped at the opportunity to capture the moment for them both. It was one of those typical UK overcast days, however, it created the perfect dramatic backdrop for their shoot.

I love engagement shoots and pre-wedding shoots. They are the perfect way for us to get to know each other and it gets you used to being in front of the camera. As you can see below they are also very relaxed and a lot of fun. Think of it as practice ahead of your big day. The run-up to your wedding day is really exciting and having photos that document that moment in time is a great way to remember when you look back in years to come.
