The Lake District National Park is one of the most beautiful places in the world and the perfect backdrop for a pre-wedding shoot. An area of outstanding beauty, it truly is a wedding photographer‘s playground with thousands of locations to choose from. From the top of the mountains to countryside walks. Incredible picturesque lakes to unusual historic caves. All scattered throughout this amazing part of Cumbria.

THE LOCATION: HIGH DAM TARN, THE LAKE DISTRICT

James & Deven’s engagement shoot, much like their wedding at The Ryebeck Hotel was so incredible. The location is the beautiful High Dam Tarn. Set back from Newby Bridge and a little walk through the woods it’s one of the Lake District’s more secluded locations and perfect for an engagement shoot.

The shoot was a few hours away from sunset and mother nature created the perfect backdrop. The sun was shining and the colours of the woodland sparkled on the water, we really couldn’t have asked for more.
