Clary & Bruce

When I met Clary and Bruce, I immediately knew their weddings (yes plural) were going to be something truly amazing. These two were not only gorgeous but also incredibly warm and welcoming. They exuded a sense of happiness and love that was contagious and you couldn’t help but get carried away with.

Opting for the post-covid trend of the double wedding celebration (one I hope is here to stay) I had the privilege of photographing both their intimate elopement style micro wedding and then their beuatiful larger traditional wedding. I think their decision to opt for a first look with just the two of them really creates an atmosphere that was incredibly intimate and romantic and that carried on through the rest of the day. As Gilpin Lake House weddings go, this felt special and was one of my favourites to document recently.

This luxury Lake District wedding venue provided not only the most perfect backdrop for their special day, but as always deliverd that VIP experience couples expect. Surrounded by elegant and stylish decor the house offers it then opens out to immaculate grounds. The setting really adds such a romantic and almost magical feel to any couples wedding day and they made the most of it with a lake-side elopement ceremony.

I loved how Clary & Bruce made their day their own, whilst still keeping the ethos of an elopement – it being about them as a couple. They wanted luxury, comfort and pampering rather than hiking, nature and mountainside backdrops and, as expected, the Gilpin Lake House delivered. Check out a few snapshots of their day below.
