HEY, I’m JONO, and this is MY STORY
The words hit me like a thunderbolt. My best friend’s wedding photographer had just cancelled hours before the ceremony. With my camera in the car and years of photographing music legends like Ed Sheeran and Kylie Minogue under my belt, I nervously nodded yes. That split-second decision would transform my life.
Back then, I was running radio stations, sitting on the Brit Awards Panel, and orchestrating the UK’s largest music festivals. Music wasn’t just my career – it was my lifeblood. My passion for photography had developed alongside it, spending countless nights capturing everything from cityscapes to concert stages, perfecting my craft while working with industry giants like The Script and Jason Derulo.
That wedding day changed everything, though. The joy, laughter, and once-in-a-lifetime moments flowed through my lens, and I became addicted. The creativity I once loved in radio had slowly been replaced by spreadsheets and P&L reports. Each morning brought a growing sense of dread, so when my friend and his wife loved their photos so much, their reaction planted a seed that would grow into my future: “You could do this for a living.” Fifteen years later, I still capture music events and artists, but now I also have the privilege of documenting love stories across the UK and worldwide.
Sometimes the best things in life come from saying “yes” to the unexpected.
My journey has given me unique insights into what makes a wedding truly special. Years in both industries have taught me how to anticipate those perfect moments, handle the unexpected, and keep calm when plans go sideways. When you work with me, you’re not just getting a photographer – you’re getting someone who understands the magnitude of your day and cares about capturing every precious moment as much as you do.

Pleased to meet you, I’m Jono.
I’m a wedding photographer and filmmaker – I get to work with the happiest people on the planet, eat cake, and do what I love. My cinematic style blends artistic portraits with reportage, influenced by my music industry background.
Based in Lancaster, between the Lake District and Trough of Bowland, I spend the off-season travelling and exploring new cultures. I’m a dog-loving tech enthusiast who enjoys slow days with tapas and cold beer. Fun fact: Barack Obama follows me on Twitter!
You Want someone to capture moments that look how they felt
People frequently describe my wedding style as timeless, cinematic, classic, or editorial. My style creates journalistic imagery that captures your wedding day as it unfolds. This produces more photos and footage that captured a moment and fewer of those staring directly at the camera. That being said, I also know some family members love a shot of you smiling at the camera and have already bought their photo frame in anticipation, so I always include a few of those.
You want someone to capture the emotion of your day, the laughter, the love, and all the bits in between. Those moments you didn’t even know happened. Timeless images and footage you are proud to share with family and friends. You don’t want someone carrying big cameras, lights or equipment. You don’t want to be asked to do silly poses or fake smiles. Finding someone who can capture the love between you is a priority. The laughter, love, emotions, and of course those crazy dance moves.
