Stanley House Hotel Wedding, Lancashire – Simon & Sophie
The excitement in their voices as they tell me about their Stanley House Hotel Wedding and it’s Disney themed tables makes me confident. Simon & Sophie’s day is going to be special. The award winning luxury hotel is set in 54 acres of countryside in the majestic Ribble Valley. It is a beautiful mix of traditional manor house, with a modern and tasteful extension.
Sharing a passion for all things Disney, this couple are definitely fun. They also scream adventurous. Furthermore, like any good Disney couple, they are totally in love and devoted to each other.
Stanley House Hotel Wedding – Pre Ceremony
Early in the morning I meet up with Simon at their home. As the men get ready I can’t help but notice that every detail has been organised for them. As if in reaction to my awe, Simon jokes that it is all Sophie’s doing. He quietly admits, he couldn’t live without her. From the suits hanging up with their neat labels to the brand new pair of socks for each of them everything is perfect. I know Sophie has her wedding day under control.
From Lancaster I make my way to meet with the Sophie and the girls. As I enter the room Sophie walks around her suite at the Stanley House Hotel checking everything is still in order. Rather than the usual nerves from a bride there is a calmness to her that I can’t help but admire. As a consequence, I find I relax myself, and I enjoy the morning photographing, quietly confident the wedding is going to be epic.
Stanley House Hotel Wedding – Ceremony
The sun shines down red hot. Its warm rays being enjoyed by guests, whilst they wait to enter the ceremony room. Stanley House Hotel & Spa staff are running around behind the scenes. Quietly putting the final touches in place, as I sneak in to photograph the ceremony room. When the guests start trickling in, there is plenty of fun & laughter amongst them. This slowly quietens down as we approach the brides entrance. The nerves begin to kick in. The arrival of Sophie sees Simon relax, and once again the room in filled with smiles and laughter throughout the ceremony.
Following the ceremony the guests enjoy a fantastic lively drinks reception. With the Mediterranean weather and great entertainment. Spirits are high.
Stanley House Hotel Wedding – The Portraits
After the formal pictures, I decide it’s time for some intimate photographs together in the stunning grounds of the hotel.
Stanley House Hotel Wedding – The Reception
Having seen the wedding reception room, I knew how much time and effort had gone into getting it perfect. The Disney theme tables were very chic. They have a vintage and classic feel to them. I am slightly taken aback when I see the well thought out Disney scenes in situ. The little gasps, squeals and comments when guests arrive confirm they are as magical as I thought.
As the night goes on, Sophie, Simon and their guests start to party harder. There is laughter, dancing and singing is everywhere. For some though… the long day is taking it’s toll.
Simon & Sophie. May I take this opportunity to wish you a very happily ever after. Thank you for including me in your special day. It was truly magical.
