Forrest Hills Wedding Lancaster – Hannah & David

Forrest Hills Wedding, Lancaster – Hannah & David

The Forrest Hills Wedding Venue in Lancaster is a beautiful location tucked away behind Lancaster University.  It always surprises me how many people don’t know it’s there. Surrounded by lakes, green fields and with stunning views across the Trough Of Bowland, it really is Lancaster’s best kept secret.   It is also one of my favourite places to photograph a couple’s wedding day. The building is full of character and looks like it’s out of the film the hobbit.  With exposed beams and big glass windows overlooking the lake, it is the perfect backdrop for your special day.

Forrest Hills Wedding – A love story which started 10 years ago

I first met Hannah & David about 18 months ago.  Hannah & David are childhood sweethearts after meeting back in 2005. Their relationship is one of love, fun and is one of the strongest relationships I’ve ever seen. Their love story continued in 2014 when they bought their first house in the city of Lancaster and on their 10 year anniversary of being together David got down on one knee in Amsterdam and proposed.Fast forward to 22nd April 2017 and their wedding day arrived, a beautiful sunny day surrounded by loved ones, family and friends. It was a real pleasure to photograph this gorgeous couple, they are both relaxed, fun and it truly shows in their images. Hannah & David, thank you, thank you, thank you. Thank you to you both, your family and friends for making me feel so welcome and for being a pleasure to photograph.

Wedding Ceremony at Church of Ss Thomas and Elizabeth – Thurnham Church

The ceremony venue was Thurnham Church, a beautiful church tucked away down a small country road set in the grounds of the historic Thurnham Hall.  The bride arrived in a classic vintage fiat 500 with her dad.  The forefather of her own modern fiat 500.  Decorated with Gypsophila and candles the venue looked fantastic

Forest Hills Wedding, Lancaster – The Reception

The Forrest Hills Wedding venue provided the perfect location for their reception.  It is stunning and is a great backdrop for bridal portraits. With two lakes, stunning green fields, you don’t need to go anywhere to get timeless images that document your wedding day as husband and wife.  David & Hannah, I have to admit – I had so much fun at your wedding.  From capturing moments like the bride hitching up her wedding dress to reveal gold wellington boots so she could hike around the Forrest Hills lake at sunset. To the crazy tambourine dancing on the evening. The whole day the energy was buzzing, and sound of laughter was constant.   Absolutely, every moment was just incredible and will stay with me for many years to come.

As the sun began to set it was time for cutting of the cake and the first dance but first time for a spot of golf. This is what I loved about Hannah & David’s wedding day, so relaxed with plenty of time to chill and have fun with their family and friends.
